We boost sustainable circular resins in packaging together with Berry

Following the previously announced alliances, this new alliance will allow us to supply Berry with ISCC Plus certified circular polyolefins. Our polypropylene will be aimed at applications with high hygiene and safety requirements such as food packaging and health.

The alliance establishes a collaboration agreement for the regular supply of circular polyolefins, certified ISCC Plus, from our Repsol Reciclex® range. These polyolefins are obtained by advanced recycling, enabled by the adoption of new chemical recycling technologies, of post-consumer plastic waste not suitable for mechanical recycling.

As a result of the agreement, Berry will procure food-grade polypropylene for food and healthcare packaging.

At Repsol, we consider advanced recycling to be a complement to traditional mechanical recycling and a critical component of our circular economy strategy.
