Both individually and through partnerships and dialogue spaces, we are actively working to ensure that the political and regulatory framework supports the energy transformation, combining climate ambition with industrial competitiveness.
In this context, we participate in public consultation processes and contribute to the development of policies, regulations, and legislation, both nationally and internationally, providing information, recommendations, and perspectives based on our technical and operational experience.
Our engagement with governments, industry associations, and other stakeholders is guided by a firm commitment to an energy transition aligned with the objectives of the Paris Agreement and is supported by our public climate positions, which reflect this vision and guide our actions.
We strongly support the need to simplify and harmonize European regulations to foster competitiveness, ensure legal stability, and encourage innovation. To achieve this, we believe it is essential to reduce operational barriers and streamline reporting requirements and administrative burdens.
We strongly support the objectives of the Paris Agreement and have publicly committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across all Scopes (1, 2, and 3) by 2050. Our decarbonization roadmap includes intermediate targets for 2025, 2030, and 2040, both in absolute and intensity terms, supported by a combination of technological solutions.
We promote technological neutrality with the conviction that all energy solutions contribute immediately to reducing emissions, thereby promoting investment, profitability, and protecting the competitiveness of European industry.
To achieve an effective energy transition:
