Repsol and the UN SDGs

Our commitment to economic and social development in the environments where we operate took shape in 2025 through voluntary social investment of €25.6 million and the prioritization of local suppliers, which accounted for 82% of total purchasing volume. In the workplace, we strengthened inclusion and diversity, with 42% women in the workforce, more than 35% women in leadership positions and more than 2% of employees with disabilities, while also promoting quality employment through continuous safety training.

During 2025, we continued to move forward with our decarbonization strategy. We achieved a 15.1% reduction in our Carbon Intensity Indicator compared with 2016 and a more than 45.2% reduction in scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions. Across the value chain, emissions reductions reached 17.4%, keeping us on track toward our target of net zero emissions by 2050.

In line with our Environmental Policy, we direct our efforts to achieve the water-related targets that have been defined. During the year, we recycled over 17.2 million m³ of water and reused 2.6 million m³, incorporating solutions aimed at improving water efficiency and protecting resources. We also carried out WASH actions to improve access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene in local communities, and took part in innovative industrial water reuse projects.

As part of our drive for industrial innovation, in 2025 we developed more than 250 R&D projects, focused mainly on decarbonization and the circular economy. Among the main initiatives, the investment made in Ecoplanta (Tarragona) stood out, aimed at transforming municipal waste into renewable fuels and circular products, with an investment of €72.9 million during the year.

Progress toward more responsible production and consumption models was reflected in 2025 in more efficient use of resources and greater material circularity. We produced more than 25,000 metric tons of circular or bio-based products, processed 1.65 million metric tons of secondary materials and prepared 42% of the waste managed for reuse or recycling. In addition, we promoted citizen participation in the circular economy by collecting used cooking oil at service stations for subsequent recovery as a renewable fuel.

Collaboration once again became a key element in 2025 to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. We strengthened our institutional, sector, digital and energy-transition partnerships, contributing to knowledge-sharing, alignment with international standards and the development of innovative solutions that enable us to continue evolving toward increasingly sustainable models.
