Since 2024, we have been a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) promoted by the United Nations. This adherence reflects our commitment to ethical, responsible management aligned with Repsol's corporate values, such as sustainability, innovation, and respect for the environment.
As part of this commitment, we systematically integrate ESG factors into our investment process, from the initial assessment to the monitoring of startups in the portfolio. In addition, we promote transparency, accountability, and active dialogue with our investee companies.
What are the UNPRI Principles?
They are a set of six voluntary principles that provide a global framework for integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into investment decisions. By adhering to them, we commit to:
We participate as a Limited Partner in specialized investment funds that share our vision and commitment to the climate.
We believe in the power of collaboration to accelerate sustainable innovation. Therefore, we are active members of SpainCap, which brings together the most relevant venture capital and private equity entities in the country, and BigBan Investors, a leading network of private investors in early-stage startups.
Repsol Ventures in figures
Every year, at Repsol Corporate Venturing we publish a summary of our investment activity, highlighting the startups incorporated into the portfolio, the evolution of our investee companies, and our impact on the transition towards a more sustainable and efficient energy model.
We believe that open innovation and support for disruptive technologies are key to accelerating the decarbonization of industrial sectors and moving towards the ambition of net zero emissions by 2050.
