Success stories

CUCO Project, quantum computing applied to the energy industry

With the collaboration of the Spanish government, private companies, research centers, and universities, its purpose is to provide competitive advantages to the country, such as accelerating the reduction of CO2 emissions.

  • The aim is to apply quantum algorithms to sectors such as energy, finance, space, defense, and logistics.

  • Use cases being investigated include the fight against climate change, financial optimization, and traceability of information in the supply chain.

  • The project is funded by the Spanish government's Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.

We promote a program in Ethical and Responsible AI

The Universidad de Granada, in collaboration with Repsol, has obtained one of the most outstanding university-company education and research programs in Artificial Intelligence in the country, with 1.6 million euros in funding. This project will focus on the development of ethical and responsible AI, with applications in high-risk scenarios such as critical infrastructure.

  • It aims to create reliable AI technologies applied to critical sectors such as oil refineries.

  • Ethical, legal, and social aspects are addressed for the development of sophisticated and transparent systems, in line with European AI regulations.

  • It includes the international collaboration of AI experts from the University of Modena and an interdisciplinary team from the UGR and Repsol.
