Milestones and lines of action

The company's Carbon Intensity Indicator committment is to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 with interim reduction targets of 15% by 2025, 25% by 2030, and 55% by 2040.

We are committed to reduce absolute emissions by 55%(1) (Scope 1 and 2(2)) in the operated assets compared to 2016 and to reduce absolute emissions by 20%(1) (Scope 1, 2, and 3(2)) compared to 2018. Both metrics include the commitment to net zero emissions by 2050.

We are committed to increase renewable energy generation capacity(3) to 9 GW in 2028, and over 10 GW by 2030.

The Strategic Outlook 2026-2028 sets an investment of more than 30% of net CAPEX for low-carbon projects.

(1) Absolute emissions are the total amounts of greenhouse gas released into the atmosphere without considering offsets or removals.
(2) Scope 1 emissions are direct emissions; scope 2 emissions are indirect emissions associated with external requirements for electricity and steam for the operation of our facilities; and scope 3 emissions are other indirect emissions arising from the use of our products.
(3) Includes all operating capacity, regardless of shareholding status.
