This Is How We Experienced NeMMo 2025: Innovation, Materials, and Commitment

Chemical News 06/07/2025

On July 2nd and 3rd, we returned to NeMMo 2025 in Rennes, the international congress on new materials for the mobility of the future, co-organized by SIA and SFIP. The event brought together leaders from the automotive, rail, aerospace, and naval sectors, along with machinery manufacturers, AI and simulation developers, and materials recyclers.

At our booth, we showcased our most innovative solutions in advanced materials and presented the projects that are transforming the industry:

  • ALBA Project: Expansion of the industrial complex in Sines (Portugal), set to be operational in the second half of 2026.
  • New Repsol Reciclex® unit in Puertollano (Spain), scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
  • UHMPE plant, also in Puertollano, featuring a high-value superpolymer for demanding applications, expected in the first half of 2026.
  • Ecoplanta in Tarragona, a pioneering circular economy project that will convert urban waste into circular products, with a planned launch in 2029.
  • Automotive Project: Expansion of polypropylene compound capacity in Spain and France, targeted for the third quarter of 2025.

During the event, our colleague Ana Urdiales, Senior Technical Service & Development for Auto/Composites, delivered a presentation showcasing our company’s capabilities and vision.

We also introduced our technical catalog, Lightweight Solutions for the automotive market, which highlights how our high-impact materials and glass fiber composites can replace denser materials, reducing vehicle weight and helping to lower emissions.
