New Repsol-Marked Containers Now in Place at the Sines Industrial Complex
The new containers, designed by us and manufactured especially for Repsol, are now located at our Industrial Complex in Sines. This acquisition reflects our commitment to rail transport and a more efficient distribution.
The new containers, designed by us and manufactured especially for Repsol, are now in place. They are fully owned by us, carry our own registration code—RQCU, Repsol Química Container Unit—and are ready to transform the way we transport our chemical materials.
There are two types of containers: 30-foot ones for bulk products, equipped with four top-loading openings that simulate a silo-tank; and 45-foot ones for palletized product in bags.
Both types of containers will not only allow us to store product at the complex, but also bring it closer to our customers across Europe, primarily by rail.
The acquisition of these containers is directly linked to the future polymer production under the Alba Project. The new rail line in Sines is expected to be operational this coming October.
This development not only enhances our logistics efficiency and flexibility but also strengthens our commitment to innovation.
We continue to move forward with confidence—toward smarter, more sustainable logistics aligned with the challenges of the future.
