Our raw materials

Materials are all around us and help us build a safer and more efficient future for all. We manufacture and market a wide variety of products, ranging from base chemicals to derivatives.

Day-to-day products

Repsol’s Materials are used for everyday articles which improve people’s quality of life, well-being, and safety and are found in almost all industrial segments: agriculture, automotive industry, well-being and consumer products, building and infrastructure, packaging, healthcare, household, and 3D printing.

Base chemicals

We produce monomers such as ethylene, propylene, benzene, butadiene, and other products that form the basis of derivative petrochemicals.

Due to the company’s high level of integration, the vast majority of these raw materials are used in the manufacture of Repsol derivatives and the rest is sold.

Derivative chemicals

It includes products derived from PO and polymers. Among the former are styrene, propylene oxide, polyether polyols, and propylene glycols.

Polymers

The best-known plastics, we produce polyethylene, polypropylene, and EVA/EBA copolymers. These offer a broad combination of properties like flexibility, strength, low weight, stability, impermeability, and easy sterilization.

This winning combination has led to them becoming the materials of choice in many industries and suitable for a wide variety of applications.
