Repsol surpasses 1,000 service stations with 100% renewable Nexa Diesel

- From tomorrow and until July 31, 2025, individual clients, who use the company’s payment app Waylet when refueling, will enjoy a discount of €0.10 per liter. With this discount, the 100% renewable fuel can be purchased at the same price as the company’s regular diesel, Diesel e+.
- 100% renewable Nexa Diesel is the highest-end premium fuel on the Spanish market, as it has an exclusive formula that optimizes performance and extends engine life.
- The multi-energy company's goal is to end the year with 1,500 service stations offering this fuel in the Iberian Peninsula.
Repsol has surpassed 1,000 service stations offering 100% renewable Nexa Diesel in the Iberian Peninsula, with currently 998 in Spain and 63 in Portugal. This milestone confirms the company's commitment to renewable fuels, expanding the range of technologies available for customer mobility.
100% renewable Nexa Diesel is the highest-end premium fuel on the Spanish market. It has an exclusive formulation that optimizes performance, extends engine life, and is designed for all diesel engines. It is produced from organic waste and, using current technologies, reduces net CO2 emissions by up to 90% compared to the mineral-based fuel it replaces, thanks to the lower carbon intensity of the renewable fuel due to its organic origin.
From tomorrow, April 29, and until July 31, 2025, individual customers, who use Waylet, the company’s payment app, when refueling 100% renewable Nexa Diesel, will enjoy a discount of €0.10 per liter in addition to the discounts already applied in the Energy Plans that each customer has contracted. This new discount, with no limit on use or minimum consumption, puts Nexa Diesel at the same price as the company’s regular diesel, Diesel e+, adding the advantages of a renewable fuel that protects, cleans, and cares for the engine.
Valero Marín, Repsol's executive managing director for Customer Relations, said: “We are proud to have reached this important milestone. 100% renewable Nexa Diesel is a major step forward in our strategy to reduce CO2 emissions and increase the range of sustainable technologies for mobility, helping our customers choose the solution that best suits their needs.” “This fuel is not only another sustainable alternative that we offer at our service stations. It is our most advanced fuel, of 100% renewable origin. Our goal is to keep offering all the energy solutions to our customers to meet their mobility needs and reduce emissions,” added Marin.
The multi-energy company has set itself the ambitious goal of ending the year with 1,500 service stations with 100% renewable Nexa Diesel in the Iberian Peninsula, which represents around 40% of the company’s service station network.
Renewable fuels
To decarbonize mobility, Repsol is committed to a model that combines all solutions that reduce emissions, including renewable fuels, electrification, and renewable hydrogen, which the company is developing. The company's vision is that all energy options must be taken into account to guarantee supply, meet the needs of each customer, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.
Renewable fuels are an alternative already available to help decarbonizing both current and future vehicles, without the need to change vehicles or modify existing distribution and refuelling infrastructures.
Repsol is already operating in Cartagena (Spain) the first plant in the Iberian Peninsula producing 100% renewable fuels on an industrial scale, and it will start production at a second production plant at its Puertollano industrial complex in 2026. The multi-energy company is progressing in the transformation of a conventional diesel production unit that will be equipped with new technology to process used cooking oils and other waste to produce around 200,000 tons per year of 100% renewable fuel for road and maritime transport.
