Repsol makes a new offshore discovery in Sierra Leone

  • Repsol has a 25% stake in the Sierra Leone discovering consortium, partnering Anadarko (55%) and Tullow Oil (20%).
  • The discovering well, Jupiter-1, has been drilled in the same area as the Venus B-1 and Mercury-1 wells, reinforcing the potential of hydrocarbons in the region.
  • An appraisal well is planned to evaluate the existing resources and to determine their quality.
