Our plastics at the forefront of food safety

We obtain the FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification for all our polyolefins produced at our Tarragona site. We have shared this achievement with the entire value chain on food safety in packaging that was held at our headquarters on February 19.

The Food Safety in Packaging conference, in which the whole food industry value chain was present, highlighted that the development of safe products for the final consumer is for us our priority objective.

During the conference, we informed the attendees that our Tarragona industrial complex is the first polyolefins production centre in the world to obtain the FSSC 22000 food safety certification. We expect to communicate by the end of the year obtain having obtained this same certification for our two other petrochemical complexes, in Puertollano and Sines (Portugal)
