We were present at Expoquimia 2026, the leading international event for the chemical and process industries, participating in the Smart Chemistry: Green Industry Deal space, promoted by the Spanish Chemical Industry Federation (Feique) and established as one of the main reference forums for the sector in Spain.

Over four days, this space brought together companies, institutions, and experts to address the challenges and opportunities facing the chemical industry in areas such as sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness. The program included conferences, panel discussions, and networking sessions aimed at showcasing industrial solutions and key technologies to advance towards a more efficient and low-carbon model.

At Repsol, we actively contributed through several interventions that reflect our strategic priorities:

  • Ana Montenegro, Senior Manager of Learning in the Talent, Culture and Transformation department, took part in the roundtable Smart Talent: professionals shaping the chemical industry in service of society, where she analyzed the role of talent as a driver of sector transformation, highlighting the importance of developing new professional profiles and fostering continuous learning.
  • César Muñoz, Coordinator of Technical Support and Development, OP Derivatives segment, delivered the presentation Transforming to decarbonize: unlocking the potential of waste in circular chemistry, highlighting the value of waste as a feedstock to advance decarbonization and drive the circular economy.
  • Sara Galera, Senior Engineer in Technical Support and Development (Pharma), presented UHMWPE in Spain: driving high-value applications with advanced materials, showcasing high-value developments based on advanced materials that open new opportunities across different industrial sectors.
  • Noemí Artal, Repsol Reciclex® Product Manager, and Sandra Viamonte, Senior ATD Engineer Repsol Reciclex®, jointly delivered Driving high value-added products: Repsol Reciclex® polyolefins, where they showcased our circular polyolefin solutions that contribute to closing the plastics loop.

These contributions demonstrate our ability to deliver tangible solutions to today’s challenges by combining innovation, sustainability, and technological development.

In addition, we shared our vision on the strategic role of the chemical industry in Europe, analyzing the sector’s challenges and opportunities in the context of the energy transition.

Our participation in Expoquimia 2026 also enabled us to strengthen collaboration with customers and partners, creating new business opportunities in an environment that fosters knowledge exchange and cooperation.
