The United Kingdom's electricity supply mainly comes from fossil fuels like coal and oil. Its territory includes the island of Great Britain, the northeast of the island of Ireland, and small neighboring islands. Northern Ireland shares a border with the Republic of Ireland. Great Britain is bordered to the north and west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the east by the North Sea, to the south by the English Channel, and to the west by the Irish Sea.
We are present in the United Kingdom with our Upstream businesses. We work in significant production and exploration fields such as Shaw and Cayley, making us an important player in the development of the region.

Upstream project field: Shaw field
We carry out production operations in the Shaw field, which is located in the MAR area (Montrose and Arbroath platforms) of the United Kingdom's North Sea. The field operator responsible for the area's redevelopment plan is Repsol Sinopec Resources UK. This project includes the development of two new fields (Shaw and Cayley, the latter started up in 2017), for which a BLP production platform was installed, connected to the Montrose Alpha platform.
