Leonardo Mascolo is an Electronic Engineer. He specialized in Telecommunications and Microelectronics at the University of Bologna and has a master's degree in Business Administration from the LUISS Business School in Rome, Italy.
He joined the Repsol Group in 1999 as head of Production and Logistics at Repsol Polivar, a company producing methyl methacrylate in Italy, later becoming its Managing Director.
In 2008 he started working at the headquarters in Madrid as Product Manager of Olefins and Aromatics within the Chemicals Executive Division.
In 2010 he was named Director of the Basic Petrochemicals Business Unit and in November he became responsible for LPG, Naphtha and Petrochemicals in Trading and G&P. He oversees the marketing of naphtha and petrochemical products from Repsol's five refineries as well as the optimization of the feed system and sales of surplus from the three crackers.
He is currently on the boards of Petrochemicals Europe and EPCA, both of which are European petrochemical producer associations.
