- In his speech, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Repsol stressed "a commitment to technological innovation is key to adapting and being competitive in a changing global world"
- The jury selected Brufau "for his brilliant management career wonderfully combining strategic vision, innovation and sustainability".
- This recognition adds to others recently received by the Repsol Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who also won the 2012 Best CEO award from Platts.
- The ESADE awards are given to individuals and organisations which, through their career, activities or services offered, have demonstrated the values that define the founding spirit of this business school and that may serve as benchmarks or examples for others.
- ESADE Alumni, the association for former students of ESADE, which grants this award, has a network of more than 48,000 business school alumni and 17,000 associates who hold positions of responsibility in companies on all five continents.
