Repsols Margarita field in Bolivia to be major gas supplier to Argentina

  • The Margarita gas field operated by Repsol has become the main source of supply of Bolivian gas to Argentina.
  • The development plan in the Margarita-Huacaya fields envisages an increase in gas production from the current 2 million current cubic meters per day to a daily output of 14 million cubic metres by the end of 2013.
  • The agreement foresees an increase in Bolivian gas exports to Argentina, from 5 million cubic meters per day to a daily output of 13 million cubic metres by 2017, of which most will be supplied by Repsol.
