Resources, closeness, and strategic value

We have been present in Algeria since 1973. Since 1991, we have maintained a permanent office in Algiers to support our activity in the country and strengthen our links with authorities and institutions, including our relationship with Sonatrach, ALNAFT, and ARH. We have about 100 employees depending on the Algeria Business Unit.

Algeria is a strategic area for the company due to the natural resource potential and geographical proximity to Spain (one of the main recipients of Algerian gas).

Our operations

Upstream

The exploration activities include the activities of prospecting, exploration, appraisal, and exploitation of hydrocarbons.

Lubricants

We have been suppliers since 2011 of the state-owned hydrocarbon marketing company, Naftal (a subsidiary of Sonatrach).

Reggane Norte

The Reggane project is composed of six gas fields (Azrafil Sud-Est, Kahlouche, Kahlouche Sud, Tiouliline, Sali, and Reggane). We hold a 36% working interest, alongside Sonatrach (40%), and WintershallDEA (24%).
