Carsharing: More circular and sustainable consumption patterns
What is Repsol Wible all about?
Wible is a carsharing service for plug-in hybrid vehicles that can be used for minutes, hours, or days. This shared service fosters more responsible consumption patterns, as it promotes renting vehicles over purchasing them. This way, we optimize their useful life and minimize their environmental impact as they are rented by different users and spend less time parked.
The aim of Wible is to offer a sustainable mobility alternative in urban settings with the freedom of movement of a private vehicle while helping to reduce traffic in cities.
Carsharing is a service that has emerged as a sustainable alternative to the use of private vehicles. With this service, we contribute to reducing traffic in cities and reduce the carbon footprint with our zero-emissions hybrid vehicles.
Circular mobility alternative
Wible has a zero emissions label and brings about great benefits in terms of sustainability as it helps reduce the carbon footprint of traveling by car as the electricity used comes entirely from renewable sources.
In addition, a single vehicle can cover the mobility needs of many people, contributing to the sustainability of cities and reducing their environmental pollution.
With this project we promote new ways of consuming that contribute to creating a more circular and sustainable future.

Classification by key lines and value chain
Our circular economy projects are aligned with the key lines of our strategy and are present throughout our entire value chain, from obtaining raw materials to commercializing products and services.

Eco-aggregates: A new product for capturing CO2
We've joined forces with O.C.O. Technology Limited to produce more sustainable products by capturing and using CO2 emitted in our industrial processes.
Ecoplanta: The first circular methanol plant in Spain
We joined forces with Enerkem and Agbar to manage and build a recovery plant to transform waste into new products.
Polyurethane recycling pioneers in Spain
Our chemical recycling plant in Puertollano will go into operation by the end of 2022 to recycle around 2,000 tonnes of this waste.
Fuels from urban waste
We recover leftover energy from urban waste that has reached the end of its useful life in order to produce fuels.
We are pioneers in certified circular polymers that have been produced by incorporating plastic waste as raw material.
We bring renewable energy generation to the point of consumption by creating solar communities.
We implement solutions to transform biomass into advanced biofuels with low CO2 emissions.
Drilling mud management
We transform drilling mud waste into new fuels by applying thermal desorption techniques.
Lubricants formulated with regenerated bases
We use base oils derived from the regeneration of used oils to produce new lubricants.
Waste treatment in our facilities
We apply bioremediation and compost techniques to make use of waste.
Reusing asset equipment
We extend the useful life of our asset equipment by reusing it in our own operations or those of other companies.
Reusing water from urban wastewater plants
We reuse water from urban wastewater treatment plants to reduce the amount of fresh water consumed.
