We took part in the Blow Moulding 2022 Congress
We attended the Blow Molding 2022 congress, where this polyolefin application's entire supply chain has participated. We presented our sustainable Repsol Reciclex® range and our vision of the circular economy for this market at the congress. In our presentation, we have dealt with the circularity of containers for detergents, chemical products, cosmetics, and industrial containers, with solutions that are already available and that improve the carbon footprint of these containers.
Our colleague Miriam López, blow molding and fiber Technical Assistance engineer, has been in charge of representing Repsol at the Blow Molding 2022 Congress held in Brussels. It was intended for the innovations and the sustainability of plastic bottles and containers.
Our participation aimed to offer our vision regarding circular economy focused on blow molding applications.
During her intervention, Miriam explained the characteristics of our mechanical Repsol Reciclex® range with four new grades that incorporate a percentage of recycled plastic material. These novelties are intended for the non-food market and cover all kinds of containers: from small-volume ones for detergents, synthetic oils, and chemical and cosmetics products, to larger industrial-type containers such as IBCs or jerrycans, which we can find in the market.
Likewise, during her speech, the circular Repsol Reciclex® range was presented, a solution that uses chemical recycling of plastic as raw material and is suitable for food use. This kind of product has made it possible to make strategic alliances with essential clients that allow new circular economy models to be promoted by recovering the containers at the end of their useful life and reincorporating the material into new products with high added value. A success story would be the alliance completed with Lactalis Nestlé for some of its bottles.
Additionally, a range of products with the biobased origin is also being developed, which is a solution suitable for food use that uses products of organic origin as raw material.
In short, the Blow Molding congress has been an opportunity to position our brand as a benchmark for the circular economy, with solutions already on the market, and to establish relationships with all the parties involved in the industry.
