We present our circular economy solutions for PU at UTECH Europe 2021

We showcased our wide portfolio of polyether polyols for flexible and rigid foams and CASE applications at the fair. In addition, we were particularly enthusiastic to introduce our clients and stakeholders our plan to build the first chemical polyurethane foam recycling plant in Spain at our Puertollano Industrial Complex.

We were present to showcase our extensive polyether polyester portfolio at Utech Europe 2021, the leading international three-day exhibition and conference for the global polyurethanes industry, in Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Our presence was mainly focused on our Net Zero Emissions by 2050 commitment and our circular economy solutions, with our ambition of recycling the equivalent of 20% of its polyolefin production by 2030.

On this occasion, we were particularly enthusiastic about introducing to all present our plan to build Spain's first chemical polyurethane foam recycling plant at our Puertollano Industrial Complex. The recycling plant will be capable of processing over 2,000 metric tons of waste per year. Once the plant is operational, by the end of 2022, we will be able to offer our customers circular polyols with recycled polyurethane foam content from the Repsol Reciclex® range.
