We launched our first online webinar to promote the Repsol Healthcare® range
We have carried out the first online webinar to promote polyolefins for the medical and pharmaceutical sector. This is the first time that we use this tool to promote our polyolefins and our global offer. The webinar can be seen on demand and has been advertised in different specialized magazines for the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
This new format allows us to reach our clients, potential clients, and stakeholders to present our products. In addition, this commercial action has been promoted in different magazines specializing in the industry.
Within the polyolefins that we manufacture, the Repsol Healthcare® range includes polypropylene, polyethylene and EVA grades that are especially intended for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Two of these polypropylene grades have a particularity: they withstand radiation sterilization (gamma, beta, and X-rays) without affecting their mechanical and aesthetic properties and, also as a great advantage, they entail shorter sterilization times than other techniques used in the market.
"Repsol's wide range of polypropylene offer two special grades that are resistant to radiation sterilization. They are used to manufacture medical devices such as pipette tips, syringes, laboratory and diagnostic material, and others medical devices. It is a growing sterilization technique, since its cycle times are shorter, which is favoring its use, although the change is being gradual,” says Ignacio Martínez Alonso, Healthcare Product Manager and one of the participants in this webinar together with Lucía Costa and Raquel Hernández, both Senior Engineers from ATD.
The company IONISOS, experts in the radiation sterilization process, wanted to be part of the webinar. In their presentation, they explained what this medical material sterilization technique consists of, which is gaining ground over other types of sterilization, such as the one that uses ethylene oxide.
The webinar has been very well received, and we thank all the attendees for joining us in this new format.
