Tax Policy

The Company is aware of its responsibility in the sustainable economic development in societies in which it is present. Consequently, we are committed to managing our tax affairs by applying good tax practices and acting with transparency, paying taxes responsibly and efficiently, and fostering collaborative relations with the government while avoiding significant risks and unnecessary disputes.


Tax Strategy

In line with the Company's mission and values, the tax strategy is based on five action principles.

Tax Havens

The Company refrains from using opaque or artificial structures with the intention of concealing or reducing the transparency of its activities

Contribution by Countries

In 2016, Repsol paid 11.764 billion euros in taxes and other related public charges and filed more than 53,000 tax returns.

Corporate Tax Policy

The Repsol Group is committed to managing its tax affairs by applying good tax practices and acting with transparency.
