At Repsol, we contribute to sustainable development by seeking to satisfy the growing demand for energy, which is essential for the fulfillment of people's fundamental rights, and by creating value both in the short and long term.

We maximize our positive impact and minimize our negative impact on society and the environment throughout our value chain by acting ethically and transparently. In doing so, we seek to comply not only with the regulations in force but also with the main international standards. This is how our six–pillar sustainability model was born.

This model is reflected in our Sustainability Plans through ambitions, medium-term objectives, and annual lines of action for each one of the model pillars. Ultimately, these plans also become our roadmap at the global level as well as for specific countries and industrial complexes, which take into account the specific circumstances and needs of each place where we operate.

Our Sustainability Plans are based on the six pillars of Repsol's Sustainability Model

Our sustainability commitment is integrated into our Company's strategy and has the support and involvement of senior management. In this regard, we've set forth our Global Sustainability Plan based on six pillars corresponding to a series of material aspects according to the kind of company we are, our stakeholders' expectations, and the main international standards:

Our ambition:

Our Company strives to maintain an excellent and sustainable environmental management throughout the entire life cycle of our projects and operations that is also integrated into our decision-making.

We share the concerns of society when it comes to the need to look after the environment we live in.

Moreover, we seek the minimum impact of our operations, and we therefore apply the circular economy principles to our operations and products. This includes minimizing air emissions and waste production, optimizing the consumption of raw materials, improving waste and water management, reducing the discharge pollutant load, and improving prevention systems and spill response, while considering biodiversity as a key element.
