Two-stroke Marine Lubricants

In its fight to be at the forefront of innovation and technology in the maritime industry, Repsol offers a wide range of lubricants for large vessels with two-stroke engines that protect the engine and guarantee its proper functioning regardless of the quality of fuel used. New additive chemicals along with the wide TBN offerings available make Repsol two-stroke engine lubricants ensure exceptional performance under any condition.

TALUSIA UNIVERSAL

TALUSIA UNIVERSAL
Universal oil with a patented, specially-designed formula to lubricate cylinders in slow two-stroke diesel engines working with heavy fuels both with sulfur content between 0.5% and 4.5%. The unique composition of TALUSIA UNIVERSAL provides it exceptional performance with regard to its capacity for acid neutralization during combustion.

TALUSIA UNIVERSAL 100

Based on the same composition as TALUSIA UNIVERSAL but with a greater alkaline reserve (TBN 100), this product responds to the requirements of the latest recommendations from engine manufacturers to mitigate the problems brought about by the “cold corrosion” phenomenon. It has been used on a number of vessels since its launch in 2008 and obtained excellent results from large marine engine manufacturers.

TALUSIA LS 25

The lubricant TALUSIA LS 25 was designed to lubricate and protect two-stroke marine engines that operate with fuels with less than 0.1% sulfur. The new low alkaline reserve lubricant guarantees the protection of large engines, offering excellent cleaning thanks to its low ash content chemical. This oil has been approved by the major manufacturers of 2-stroke engines MAN and WÄRTSILÄ.

TALUSIA LS 40

TALUSIA LS 40 has been designed to lubricate and protect 2-stroke marine engines that run on fuel with a low sulphur content between 0.1% and 0.5% (LSFO) in order to comply with the IMO 2020 environmental regulation. The TALUSIA LS 40 lubricant ensures protection and maximum cleaning of large engines thanks to its low TBN. This oil has been approved by the major manufacturers of 2-stroke engines MAN and WÄRTSILÄ.

TALUSIA HR 70

TALUSIA HR 70
Cylinder oil formulated to lubricate slow two-stroke crosshead diesel engines. Lubricant that guarantees engine protection when working with high sulfur content fuels. Recommended by the large manufacturing brands of two-stroke marine engines MAN and SULZER/WÄRTSILÄ, it is the most used lubricant for this type of application.

ATLANTA MARINE D 3005 AND D 4005

Cylinder protection isn't the only important thing in two-stroke engines. That’s why Repsol completes the two-stroke product line with system oils. These ATLANTA MARINE D 3005 AND D 4005 lubricants are used in systems and crankshafts in two-stroke crosshead diesel engines that need a lubricant with excellent properties at the detergency and dispersancy level to keep the circuit clean and protect the metal parts against wear, corrosion, and the generation of lacquers and varnishes.

RP SERIES 3 DD 40

Specifically designed for two-stroke engines that work with distillate fuels (in compliance with Detroit Diesel specifications). Monograde lubricant that boasts high rust resistance, anti-wear properties, high detergency-dispersancy capabilities, and an additive chemical low in ash to prevent blockage in inlet and exhaust ports. It is also applicable to transmissions and torque converters.
