We reach an agreement on the circular economy with ELIX Polymers

Both companies will promote circular materials in high added value products in the automotive, health, household appliances, building, and construction sectors, among others. We will supply them with circular styrene from chemical recycling, certified under the ISCC PLUS scheme. ELIX Polymers will then use it to produce high-performance technical polymers such as ABS (acrylonitrile‐butadiene‐styrene) and SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile).

Our commitment includes regularly supplying circular styrene, with the ISCC Plus certification, starting in 2021. This close collaboration reinforces our relationship with ELIX Polymers and allows each company to achieve its circular economy objectives.

The agreement will also make it possible to develop joint circularity projects for applications such as toys, small household appliances, garden items, automotive exterior and interior parts, or medical devices.

Just like us, ELIX Polymers is also a member of the SCS (Styrenics Circular Solutions) platform, a joint industry initiative aimed at increasing the circularity of styrenics.

This agreement boosts our circular economy goals to promote our objective, announced on December 2, to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
