Press Release 31/01/2013 00:00
  • His Royal Highness the Prince of Asturias was accompanied by Repsol Chairman and CEO, Antonio Brufau, the Minister of Industry, José Manuel Soria, President of the Madrid Region, Ignacio González and the Mayor of Madrid, Ana Botella, among other authorities.
  • During the opening ceremony, the Prince of Asturias unveiled a commemorative plaque and paid a visit to the new Repsol headquarters, taking the opportunity to exchange opinions and views with employees on their new workplace.
  • It is the only corporate campus situated in the centre of Madrid housing 4,000 employees. The floor area measures 123,000 m2, and is divided into 4 buildings that form a cloister around a large central garden, which is one and a half times the size of a soccer pitch and is home to 100 native trees.
  • The objective behind the design was to make it a place for communication, exchange of ideas and a meeting point. The new headquarters embodies Repsol’s corporate culture, its values and the need for new work habits. The Campus is also a ground-breaking project in terms of accessibility, sustainability and safety.
  • The building offers a variety of services to employees, helping to create a more comfortable atmosphere. These include two cafes, 17 areas with vending machines, as well as a health centre with a medical service, gym, etc.
  • The Prince of Asturias congratulated the Repsol employees on being involved in this project and highlighted that "it is encouraging to see actions and progress that will certainly help generate economic growth and job creation". Don Felipe also pointed out that "Repsol is one of the major Spanish companies that sets an example of excellence in Spain and abroad, with an advanced forward-looking vision".
  • Antonio Brufau: “Repsol’s staff are its greatest asset, which is why we have created a working environment built with people in mind. Repsol strives to be a modern, flexible company that adapts to society’s emerging needs and lifestyles.”.
