Receipt of samples
Receipt and management of samples in the laboratory
The samples and cards received are first registered in the laboratory.
The samples are then classified and entered in the system by means of a bar code reader, while the information on the card is entered via an application that automates the process based on data from previous samples.
The fundamental analyses of this system have been defined as follows:
- Oil properties: viscosity (40ºC), TBN and TAN.
- Metal pollutants: aluminium, copper, chrome, tin, iron, manganese, nickel, silver, lead and titanium.
- Pollutants: water, insoluble, silicon, sodium and vanadium.
- Other metals: barium, boron, calcium, phosphorus, zinc and magnesium.
