SMOKING AND OPEN LIGHTS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
have been displayed in prominent positions aboard and near to the access to the Vessel.
Warning boards must be displayed on the offside of the Vessel.
The Master has completed and returned to the Terminal Supervisor the "SAFETY CHECK LIST" certifying that all statutory conditions have been complied with, all necessary loading valves on board are properly set, and the agreed loading/discharging signals are understood. A copy of the Safety Check List signed by both Ship and Terminal Representatives is to be retained on the ship.
OPEN LIGHTS (naked lights)
Unconfined flames and fires, exposed incandescent materials and lamps of a non-approval design. Equipment likely to cause sparking should be treated as open lights.
