Deballasting

All dirty ballast and slops (reception slops is subject to Terminal acceptance / Lubeoils and chemicals are not accepted) will be unloaded to the shore facilities. 

The cost of reception will be applied as per annual tariff rates, being this cost update every end of the year.

The Master will report to the Terminal the quantity of ballast on arrival.

The ballast accepted by Terminal must be 1/3 of vessel DWT, with capacityof continuous reception without delay of 10,000 tons at a rate of 1,500 m3/h.

Only segregated ballast (tanks, lines and pumps completely segregated from the rest of the cargo ystem) permitted to be discharge into the Port waters, under the responsibility of the Master and previous permission from the Port Authority.

N.B.: Overboard discharge valves and sea suction valves continue to be a source of oil pollution. "Make sure these are tested and proven to be in good working order, closed, lashed and sealed.
