RYTTSA Vetting
The Ryttsa Vetting department is responsible for guaranteeing the safety and quality of ships carrying cargoes owned by any of the companies of Repsol YPF group or ships which operate in any of the group terminals.

It is a department directly responsible to RYTTSA chairman, not linked to the commercial section, and consequently operating independently.
It controls the quality and safety of the ships mainly as regards the following:
- Fulfilment of the international rules and regulations for the Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS), and all other international safety standards: ISGOTT, ISM, SIGTTO, etc.
- Proper maintenance of following critical equipments: navigation equipment, safety and firefighting equipment, loading and unloading gear, mooring equipment, main and auxiliary engines, etc.
- Crew training and familiarity with operation of a.m. equipment.
- Validity of Statutory Certification.
- Proper certification of Officers and crew.
- Vessels structural soundness, when circumstances do permit it.
- Fulfilment of regulations to prevent sea pollution (MARPOL).
It carries out inspections in both Repsol YPF Group terminals and at other national and foreign ports when requested by shipowners.
Vessels for which this physical inspection are compulsory include:
- Vessels owned by any of the companies of Repsol YPF Group.
- Time-Chartered vessels (any modality).
- Ships chartered by journey.
- Any non-chartered ship that carries a cargo owned by any of the Repsol YPF Group companies.
- Any ship that operates at a Repsol YPF Group terminal even if this operation is undertaken by an operator which does not belong to the Group.

The Vetting Service
Any Shipowner/operator of ships can request a Vetting Inspection by filling out the "Questionnaire".
Conditions:
- Once the Questionnaire and the inspection request included in it has been received and the enclosed documentation is verified, Ryttsa's Vetting department will confirm to the shipowner the possibility of performing the inspection and will inform him/her of the name of the appointed inspector. The cost and banking details will also be provided so that payment in advance can be carried out.
- In case the requested inspection requires the inspector to travel outside his residence, the shipowner will support travelling expenses : transportation, logging, accommodation etc.
- Physical inspections will preferably be carried out during unloading operations
- Inspection will only take place during daylight hours.
- No simultaneous inspection with other inspecting company will be accepted.
- The Inspection request has to be received with at least 5 days of advance warning
