IBC
The term IBC (intermediate bulk container), is used to denominate the recipients of a 1000 litre capacity, composed of a tank of high density polyethylene and a metallic structure of aluminium that surrounds it and protects it. Their main function is the highway transport of dangerous goods and oil products.
The deposit should be built with an appropriate polyethylene whose characteristics are known, and its mechanical resistance should be in function of its capacity and of the use to which it is dedicated. On the other hand, it should present an appropriate protection with regard to aging and ultraviolet radiation action when stored outdoors.
The Repsol products for this application, Alcudia 49070-UV and Alcudia 45060-UV, are guaranteed with regard to ultraviolet radiation since they have incorporated the appropriate inhibitors. These additives are compatible with the contents and maintain their effectiveness during the time of use of the container.
These products are adapted to IBC type 31H1 (rigid plastic).
