Chemicals division of Repsol YPF has recently introduced a new speciality in its range of Isplen® Polypropylene, the High Stiffness Heterophasic Copolymers.
These are heterophasic copolymers with a molecular structure designed to combine the resistance to impact of a traditional copolymer with the stiffness of a homopolymer. At the same time, the greater crystalline structure improves the processability of the polymer, reduces cooling cycle and shows a very low tendency to dimensional deformation.
The two new Isplen® grades, of different melt flow index, PB 176 N4M y PB 186 N4M, contain additives, which have been specially created to facilitate removal of parts from the mould and, as well as improving the stiffness, new economic advantages can be found:
Isplen® PB 176 N4M applications can be technical items, sports goods, packaging, household ware, garden furniture...
Isplen® PB 186 N4M applications are, among others, packaging for foodstuffs, toys, camping articles, technical items for household appliances, car industry...
