General recommendations

Take out an exclusive contract with an Authorised Gas Fitter Company for the repairs and replacements required for your installation. Request the relevant certificate.

Only install gas devices which display the corresponding obligatory CE branding on its feature plaque and have the devices checked regularly by the manufacturer’s technical service.

Where a gas device is operating, there must always be ventilation. Do not obstruct the grilles or the combustion product outlets in the devices and regularly clean the outlet pipes.

Regularly ensure that the flexible pipe is in good condition, replacing it if there is any wear and always before it expires. Check that it does not touch hot surfaces.

The flame in gas devices must be stable; there should not be any noise and the colour should be an intense blue in the middle and a lighter blue at the edges. This indicates good combustion, safety, cost ratio and cleanness. If the flame does not meet these characteristics, notify the device manufacturer technical service. Poor combustion produces a toxic gas called carbon monoxide and it also dyes the back of the cooker’s recipients. 

Where you are going to be absent for a long time, do not forget to close the main valve and the house’s overall valve. 

Before opening the valve of a burner, be ready to turn it on.
