What is it?
The aim of having your installation checked is to ensure that it is functioning properly whilst also complying with current safety regulations.
During an Official Inspection, our technicians principally carry out the following operations:
- Inspection of the premises in terms of ventilation.
- Checking that the cylinders are in an appropriate place.
- Inspection of the tubes to check that they are not out of date, that they are the correct ones to be used, and that they are not badly installed or faulty.
- Checking that the regulators are working properly.
- Checking that the combustion of appliances is working correctly.
However, in accordance with the technical regulations on the distribution and use of gaseous fuels, approved by the Royal Decree 919/2006 of July 28th, operations that are carried out during the inspection of the installation vary according to the feed pressure, referring to UNE standards for technical requirements:
- UNE 60670 - up to 5 bar:
- Inspection of the seals of the end-user installation and checks to ensure that the installation is in good condition, that the appliance's combustion is hygienic and that the combustion products are correctly evacuated, according to the procedure described in the UNE norms 60670-12 and 60670-13.
- The state of the cathodic protection of underground steel pipes should also be checked.
- UNE 60620 - more than 5 bar:
- The Periodic Inspection should be carried out in accordance with the procedures described in the UNE standard 60620-6.
- The state of the cathodic protection of underground steel pipes should also be checked.
