Autogas is the world's most used alternative fuel because it is currently unique in having the real possibility of becoming immediately and effectively established among the general public.

The world Autogas market has been in development since the 70s, fundamentally due to economic, energy diversification and environmental reasons. In Europe there are more than 7 million vehicles running on Autogas, which are able to refuel at over 33,000 service stations with Autogas provision. In Spain there are currently 2,000 vehicles running on Autogas, which can fill up at the Repsol AutoGas Service Station network, which has a large number of sales outlets strategically distributed throughout national territory, the numbers of which will gradually increase. Furthermore, 50 fleets of buses, forklift trucks, boats and karts that use Autogas can refuel at exclusive installations, supplied by Repsol Gas. In the city of Valladolid, 100 vehicles in the fleet of urban buses run on Autogas, plus another six in the city of Vigo.
