A refrigerating machine is made up of four main elements: the compressor, the condenser, the expansion valve and the evaporator.
The fluid used throughout the cycle is called refrigerating fluid, coolant or refrigerant. In this cycle, the temperature of an interior space, temperature 'Ti', is lowered, raising the exterior temperature 'Te', which is greater than 'Ti', or in other words, decreasing the temperature inside a building by taking the heat to the outside.
