LPG in Automotion (Autogas)
The use of LPG in the automotion sector includes the following areas: cars, urban buses, waste disposal lorries, fork lift trucks, etc.
The technology necessary for using Autogas in vehicles is constantly changing and is today fully developed.
Vehicles that run on Autogas have a performance, safety and reliability equivalent to those that run on petrol or diesel, whilst also offering the following technical advantages:
- A homogenous mixture, which is controlled and well distributed in oxidising air cylinders, allowing a cleaner and more complete combustion.
- Longer duration of the engine due to a reduction in its wear.
- A cheaper maintenance resulting from fewer faults and longer periods between oil changes due to the absence of carbonous residues that dirty the lubricating oil.
- More power and a greater motor torque on a partial load (starting up and stopping vehicles), which is the normal regime in which vehicles in urban environments function.
- Smooth and silent driving, without vibrations.
- A simple vehicle-filling station with the same elements as a gas-oil provision station (storage deposit, canisters and pumps).
- A filling station can be placed in any point of the urban landscape. Filling times are minimal.
