Ten useful recommendations for the safe use of natural gas

Only an authorised company can modify or fit a gas installation.

If you detect a fault in your appliance or installation, inform the technical service or an authorised gas fitting company to have it repaired.

At least every four years you should arrange for an authorised gas fitting company to check your installations and your gas appliances, and issue you with the corresponding certificate.

Do not block the air vent.

If you glaze your balcony or your drying space, do not forget to install air vents.

The outlet pipe for combustion products is vital if the gas appliances requiring it are to work properly. Ensure that the person installing it is officially qualified and complies with the relative law.

Check the flexible connection tubes regularly. Install top quality flexible tubes to ensure safety.

During prolonged absences you should turn off the gas mains of your home.

If the flame is working properly (blue and stable), this indicates good combustion.

Do not let the flame of the gas ring go out while cooking. If the smoke of the flame blackens the pots and pans, you should inform a technician from the manufacturing company.
