Plasticizing oils
Repex® and Extensoil® are two wide ranges of mineral oils mainly used in the rubber industry.
There are paraffin oils for use in non-polar rubbers and aromatic oils for polar rubbers.
They are mixed with the rubber in order to lower the viscosity of the mixture and to give it plastic properties. As such, the rubber is more easily worked with.
There is also a new range of non-labelled aromatic oils, through both TDAE and MES technology, which make it possible to manufacture mixtures with polar rubbers without losing properties and with the maximum toxicology assurances as per prevailing legislation.
Presentation:
Repex® and Extensoil® are available in bulk or packed in 180/190 kg. net palletized steel drums, 120 drums per lorry or 80 drums per 20 ft. shipping container. Occasionally they are available in 800-900 kg. containers.
