High-performance slurry emulsions
Repsol has developed the High Performance emulsion ECL-2d-m, which allows micro-agglomerates to be obtained without heating. These are very quick-breaking with high cohesion, which allow them to withstand the most adverse of working conditions. The High Performance emulsion ECL-2d-m (ECL-2m-AP) is used in areas that require an excellent performance from the cold micro-agglomerate, both in obtaining strong macrotextures and for safety reasons, preventing the projection of particles by road traffic and minimising the maintenance needs of the road surface.
Some of the main applications are the following:
- Taxiways and platforms in airports
- Reflective cracking control techniques using polymer or metallic grids.
- Wearing courses for high-density traffic: dual carriageways, motorways...
- Treatments for improving grip in areas with potentially dangerous road conditions.
