The first month of the year saw a fall of 19.6% in the sales of commercial vehicles compared to 2011. A total of 5 639 units were sold in January according to the figures released by the manufacturer`s and dealer`s associations (Anfac and Ganvam) in this sector.

Edition number XI of the Feria Internacional del Autobús y el Autocar - Bus and Coach Show - now has its venue and dates fixed. The Ifema exhibition centre in Madrid will host the show in the month of October.

One of the most representative models made by Iveco has been awarded the prestigious prize: Light Industrial Vehicle of the Year organised by the ‘Transporte 3’ magazine.

According to the figures collated in the trailer and semi-trailer market last year, the sector of over 12 tonnes recorded a total of 7 436 units sold, which is a rise of 36% compared to 2010.

The German company Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has added a new variant to its Crafter stable, this has four-wheel drive, and will be the last addition to the range of models available. This new version will be put on the market in the second quarter of 2012.

Last month saw 8 107 light commercial vehicles registered in Spain, 18% lower than in the same month 2010. In spite of this fall the aggregate over the first eleven months of the year is down to 10% (95 571 units) taking into account the figures revealed by Anfac, the (Manufacturers` Association) and Ganvam (Dealers` Association).
