If there is a vehicle that combines the ruggedness of an off-road, the versatility and space of a commercial vehicle as well as the equipment and comfort found on a car, it is the Multivan Panamericana that Volkswagen has launched on the Spanish market. The price of this vehicle is justified by the good set of equipment, its robustness and its versatity, meaning that few of us will be able to buy one.
Volkswagen has completely revamped its Multivan, inside and out, to create a special edition which is called the Multivan Panamericana. This vehicle combines the features of an off-road, the power of a commercial vehicle and even the high level of equipment found on a car. The truth is that few vehicles can boast that it covers more than adequately all the aspects that have been projected for this vehicle made by Volkswagen.
The most notable features on its set of equipment are the fog-lights, 17” alloy wheels, grey coloured bumper, dark rear lights, leather upholstered seats and tinted glass. What must also be mentioned is Its complete multifunction equipment on the steering-wheel– the CD loader and navigator – along with the six individual seats that round off the passenger comfort.
The Multivan Panamericana is available with three engine options, two are diesel units and one a petrol. The latter is a 235bhp 3.2 V6 and the two diesels are a 130bhp and a 174bhp 2.5 TDI. All the engine units on the Multivan Panamericana use a manual 6 speed transmission.
