The fifth Van Meet organised by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles was another great success, beating all attendance records seen so far for this type of event. The V Volkswagen Van Meet attracted over 400 vans and around 3 000 people and has made this date into the most important of its type for all fans of this legendary vehicle.
This year Sant Pere Pescador in Girona was the town selected to hold the fifth Volkswagen Van Meet that is organised annually by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. This year´s edition was marked by a very high attendance as all attendance records were broken. Over 400 vans and around 3 000 fans went to this year´s edition, which coincided with the World Windsurf Championship which also took place in this town located on the Costa Brava.
This van meet organised by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has become the best way, par excellence, to bring together all fans of this type of vehicle. The fifth edition saw models of Volkswagen vans of all ages and from all eras; vintage models and others not so old, as was the case of the Caddy Maxi Life and the Multivan Panamericana. Before the event Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles had announced that for every van at the meet it would plant a tree in the company´s ‘BlueMotion` forest for each van attending.
