Fiat Fiorino Cubo: from work to family life

Copy Fiat

The Italian firm Fiat has designed a new version of its Fiorino, created more for use with the family. It has a much more complete set of standard equipment and it gets some special details on its changed look, are exclusively for this new version. Fiat has decided that this new vehicle will be launched before the end of the year, with the name Fiorino Cubo.

One of the reasons why some companies convert standard working vehicles into ones for leisure, or as in this case, for the family, is without doubt their practicality. This is what has happened to the transformed Fiat Fiorino. And so the Italian firm is planning to launch this vehicle, the Fiorino Cubo, before the end of 2008. This is a variation of the original vehicle which was built for a working life but which has now been converted into a family type vehicle.

This new version is notable for its looks; it gets a new bumper in the same colour as the rest of the body, the rear door has a new design, roof rack, alloy wheels and panoramic roof. This version also incorporates the “Blue&Me” system which has become typical on recent models made by Fiat, such as the Grande Punto. It also has a multifunction steering-wheel which is covered with leather, air conditioning and an MP3 player.

With a prioce of approximately €13 000 the Fiorino Cuno has two engine options, a 1.3 litre Multijet diesel with peak power of 75bhp and a 1.4 litre petrol unit with peak power of 73bhp. Both of these use a manual five speed transmission. The load capacity on the Fiorino Cubo is around 330 litres and when the rear seats are folded down it can hold 2 500 litres.
