The dates have now been set for the first ever Madrid Motorbike Show - Salón Comercial de la Motocicleta de Madrid. Moto Madrid 2012 will open its doors between 30th March - 1st April in the Cristal de la Casa de Campo Centre in the Spanish capital.

The XXXI edition of the largest winter biker meet in Europe will take place between Thursday 12th and Sunday 15th January in the pine forest close to the town of Puente Duero in the province of Valladolid.

The arrival of winter is not a sign that you should park up your bike for the duration. All you need to do is follow some simple advice and take some precautions so that you can enjoy your riding whatever the weather.

The number of accidents involving motorbikes and riders fell in October and November. According to a report made by the DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico – Traffic Department) the two-wheel sector saw a drop in the number of accidents from 52.9% to 22.2%, compared to the same months back in 2010.

Last November saw a slight rise in the sales of second-hand mopeds and motorbikes. A total of 261 829 units were sold last month, which is an increase of 4.3% compared to the same month in 2010.
