The revamped Boulevard model made by Derbi was one of the novelties in 2008 from the Spanish firm which is based in Catalunya. After being officially presented at the Eicma International Show in Milan, the Boulevard 50 is waiting for its launch onto the market at the beginning of 2009. Almost seven years have passed since the first generation of the Derbi Boulevard was first unveiled back in 2002.
Over the last few years the Boulevard range has become into a reference point for Derbi as the most important features on this machine - fast, comfortable and economic – are something that make the Boulevard into a complete scooter for people wanting to move around the city with cheaply and with agility. The Boulevard 125 4 stroke model is already available at official Derbi dealers, but the Boulevard 50 version will not be seen until some time during the first quarter of 2009.
The look on this new model for 2008 is a new one, the profile is more modern, pleasing and technological, and its development on the Piaggio base has been quite significant. The changes are easily seen at the front end as the headlight has been relocated. The contours on this new model are now more gentle, to show that this motorbike is less aggressive. The rear end on this bike for 2008 has also been changed and the positions for the rider and the pillion pasenger are different.
It has 12” wheels and has two engine options: one of these is already on the market, the 125cc 4 stroke. The other on the way being the Boulevard 50 2 stroke. The new Derbi Boulevard is available in three colours; white, red and black and its price, around €1.300.
