Further information

The jury decided to award a prize to Repsol for being present in more than 100 countries, for knowing how to use the brand as an integrating element in its internationalisation process and using it to define a global strategy that creates value for its different stakeholders.
The jury was also impressed with the way the company spreads its culture of identity in each of the countries in which it operates and its use of the brand as the main communication axis both inside and outside the company.
The aim of these awards is to draw attention to brand strategies that have managed to boost acceptance and preference of the brand among their target audience, at the same time creating parallel growth of the business. Prizes are awarded in seven categories and the winner of the ESADE Brand Centre Top Award is chosen from among all the award winners. This year, 2009, the award went to Repsol. The company was also the winner in the Internationalisation category.
