Scope and Criteria of the Report

The corporate responsibility reports which Repsol has been publishing yearly since 2004 are produced and validated in accordance with the recommendations set out in the "Guide to writing sustainability reports" from the Global Reporting Initiative, in version G3, obtaining application level A+.

The reports also comply with the principles of the Global Pact and the United Nation's Millennium Goals.

In order to prepare the Corporate Responsibility Report and for the second consecutive time, Repsol YPF carried out a materiality study based on the recommendations of Standard AA1000. The study was intended to discern matters relating to corporate responsibility which are important for Repsol YPF. Essentially, it helps to focus the company's Corporate Responsibility Report on the most relevant subjects relating corporate responsibility, taking into account the characteristics and particular qualities of Repsol YPF and the industry in which the company operates.
