YPF Foundation

The purpose of the foundation is “To help the Republic of Argentina to reach the requirements needed to actively participate in a world which is moving towards integration”. Its main objective is to support projects in the areas of education, research and company development.

Its actions could be categorised as philanthropic management with a business focus, aiming towards the development of sustainable action with corporate impact, which can be replicated, prioritising the concept of company investment above welfarism.

One of the main, central axes to its activity consists of education, the aim of which is designed to improve the quality of education through collaboration and contribution to primary, middle and advanced teaching institutions, postgraduate training and the development of informal education.

Its main action lines are developed though open tenders with independent selection committees and are aimed at sustaining grants for financing studies in the country and abroad; supporting primary schools, secondary schools, universities and research centres; carrying out actions designed for supporting the development of scientific-technical research and professional development; establishing agreements with other entities in projects which are classed as objectives of the foundation; and contributing to activities which attempt to improve living conditions and preserve the cultural assets of the community.
